7 Best NBA Stars of The 2021-2022 Season

As the new season is just beginning there are some names that everyone should know going into the season. These players are going to be who I think have a chance at MVP and will have the biggest impact for their team. These top players are going to be rated based on last season's averages and the impact these players will have on their teams success.

1-Stephan Curry- Last season Stephan Curry averaged 32 points per game(PPG) 5 assist per game(APG) 5 Rebounds per game(RPG). Curry also won the scoring title last season and finished 3rd in the MVP race. Curry, who is the best shooter in the NBA will look to keep being one of the best scorers in the NBA. With Warriors star Klay Thompson out for the first few months of the season Curry will have to carry the load and help keep the Warriors in a position for a strong playoff seed.

2-Kevin Durant- Last season Kevin Durant averaged 27 PPG 6 APG 5 RPG. Durant is by far the most talented player on this list as there is no one like him in the NBA. With Durants size and skill and ability to play 1-5 on the NBA floor, I believe will help keep the Nets at the top of the Eastern Conference and make them a serious front runner for the championship this season.

3-Giannis Antetokounmpo- Last season Giannis Antetokounmpo averaged 28 PPG 6 APG 9 RPG. While Durant is the best overall player in the NBA Giannis is the most dominant player in the NBA. With the size Giannis has and the pure dominance inside that Giannis plays with makes him a frontrunner for MVP going into the season. With help from co-star Khris Middleton I believe that the Bucks have a real chance at going back to back in the 2021-2022 season because of the dominant ability of Giannis.

4-Luka Doncic- Last season Luka Doncic averaged 28 PPG 9 APG 8 RPG. Luka Doncic is only 22 years old and is already a superstar in today's NBA. With Luka almost averaging a triple double last season and improving both his field goal percentage and 3pt percentages to career highs there's no sign of the young star slowing down for this season. With new head coach Jason Kidd and help from some new role players I see Luka keeping his role of the carry of the team as the Mavs look to make a good push in the Western Conference.

5-Lebron James- Last season Lebron James averaged 25 PPG 8 APG 8 RPG. James who is going into his 19th season in the NBA will look to keep the trend going of being one of the top players in the NBA. James is coming off a season where he was top in the MVP race before an injury sidelined him. There are many arguments that can be made about Lebron with his age, but you can not argue with greatness, and I believe that Lebron will continue that this season to prove to people that he is still great. With the Lakers having a lot of new players this season and a lot of experience on the team I could see them being a frontrunner in the Western conference.

6-Nicola Jokic- Last season Nicola Jokic averaged 26 PPG 8 APG 11 RPG. Jokic, who is coming off of a season where he won MVP, has no sign of slowing down. As the NBA has seen point-centers before there has really never been anyone that can play that way as effectively as Jokic does. Jokic has the ability to get in the post and stretch the floor and shoot the three. The Nuggets star player looks to keep the Nuggets at the top of the Western Conference.

7- Joel Embiid- Last season Joel Embiid averaged 28 PPG 3 APG 11 RPG. Joel Embiid is arguably the most dominant player in the paint since Shaquille O'Neal and there's no reason that he will slow down this season. Embiid was runner-up for MVP last season and as long as he can stay healthy you could make an argument that he should be at the top of that list again. With the 76ers having some drama Embiid will have to be a leader and keep the team focused and try to get them to a point where they can be a dominant force in the Eastern Conference.
