Quarterbacks are an important part of an organization, today we will be looking at the 7 best so far in the 2020 season
Stats on all the quarterbacks, a slight bit of my opinion. How many touchdowns to interception ratio, how many wins.
7: Lamar Jackson
Lamar Jackson has had a down year so far, but his speed and athleticism has accumulated him 10 touchdown passes to two interceptions, and what he's known for is his rushing attack, which has been weak this year with only 2 rushing touchdowns, He is number 7 because his stats are decent and he has gone 5-1 this year. This is with very little receiver help. I think teams are slowly starting to figure out Lamar and his unique ways of the game
6: Kyler Murray
Some people may ask, who is Kyler Murray? Well I have a lot to say about him, a young quarterback that can throw the deep ball, he can scramble and make plays and is just a leader on the field. He has totalled up 13 touchdown passes and 7 interceptions, well that isn't that crazy, but he has also had 7 rushing touchdowns, he is on pace for 16 rushing touchdowns this year, which means he is tied right now with Lamar's MVP season, and could potentially break the record for most rushing touchdowns by a quarterback in a single season. This is why I put Kyler ahead of Lamar.
5: Justin Herbert
This might surprise some of you, but Herbert is a rookie and has only played 5 games and has thrown 12 TD and only 3 int, AS A ROOKIE. He picked apart the Buccaneers defense who is ranked top 5 in the league. Once again as a rookie. He is mostly a pocket passer that has a cannon for an arm and he has some elite receivers to throw to such as Mike Williams, and Keenan Allen. He can also use his legs and escape the pocket. He has also rushed for 2 touchdowns, which isn't anything crazy but it's solid.
4: Ryan Tannehill
Some of you are wondering why Tannehill is on this list and it's easy, he's underrated. I put him at 4 because he has had a decently weak schedule but has put up similar numbers as Rogers but only two less touchdowns. Tannehill can surprisingly make plays with his legs and can escape pressure and throw on the run. He has the best running back in the league behind him and a few pretty good receivers t0o throw to, this is why he is 4 and not top 3 because his stats are a little weak compared to Mahomes and Wilson
3: Aaron Rodgers
Aaron Rodgers is Aaron Rodgers he always throws a lot of touchdowns and not many interceptions, you can always count on him to throw a handful of touchdowns every game and almost never any turnovers. This season's stats are 17 TD passes, only two picks (they both came in the same game, the second worse game of his career) his yards thrown haven't been that impressive but he's a vet that gets the job done and has a nuke of an arm and can escape pressure if needed. The only reason he is three and not 1 or 2 is because they haven't played a real challenging defense, and when they did they played the bucs and got obliterated and threw two picks. That is why he is at number 3.
2: Patrick Mahomes
Patrick Mahomes could arguably be the best quarterback, but I put him at 2 because his weapons on offense are a lot more than Russell Wilson has and he's thrown 6 less touchdown passes but only one pick, but I think touchdowns are more important than picks. At Mahomes young age, he has the potential to be one of the greats, he's already shown how to read a defense, extend plays with his legs and make no look throws. 1 and two can be interchangeable
1: Russell Wilson
Russell Wilson is the best quarterback in the 2020 season hands down. He has accumulated 22 touchdown passes and 6 interceptions (three in one game). Their record is also 5-1, so he can also win. Very good quarterback that can make plays and is the best deep ball thrower in the NFL, can stretch out the plays with his legs. He is also only 31 years old so the future is there. He is at number one because of his 22 touchdown passes in 6 games, six picks is quite a bit though, but he deserves the number one spot.
