In the history of the Celtics storied franchise, filled with championships, rivalries, lots of success and failures, who throughout the years is the best Celtics players of all time?

1. Bill Russell- It's simple, Russell is the winningest player in NBA history. 11 championships, 5 Mvps, 12 time all star, not only that but Russell revolutionized basketball. His size and athleticism was almost unheard of at the time.
2. Larry Bird - It was hard putting Larry second with his 3 titles, 3 mvps, being a 12 time all star, and many more. It was the Bird vs Magic rivalry that really popularized the Celtics, and even the entire NBA, and for that reason bird is number 2.
3. John Havlicek - His accomplishments are some of the best: 8 titles, finals mvp, and a 13 time all star. He played his early career with the great Bill Russell, but later went on to lead the Celtics on his own. “Hondo” was known for his durability, never missing more than 7 games in a season.
4. Kevin Mchale -3 titles, 7 time all star, 2 time 6th man of the year. He was Larry Bird's right hand man, and key player in arguably the best Celtics team ever in 1986.
5. Paul Pierce - 1 title, 1 finals mvp, and a 10 time all star. Pierce may not have the array of titles or MVPs like the others before and after him, but his heart and Celtic pride is why he is so high on this list.
6. Bob Cousy - 6 titles, 1 MVP, 13 time all star. Bill Russell's right hand man, Cousy could do it all. In a time when the whole game revolved around big men, Cousy made people realize how important the point guard position was.
7. Robert Parish - 4 titles, 9 time all star. The 3rd man in line in the best Celtic team of all time, he was a superstar, but always consistent and lended to winning.
